Sailing

I was bitten by the sailing bug 7yrs ago.
Not just a little daysailer boat, but I wanted
the ability to sail the ocean.
After some online research I found the nearest
ASA approved School was in Traverse City Mich.
The classes were on 30-39 ft yachts. I call it an RV on water.
Each fully equiped with Galley, Head, Shower and Salon.
I have since completed my 101-103 Basic Keelboat
104-105 Navigational Course work and logged 100s
of miles sailing in Lake Michgan and The Carribean.
I return each Summer to Traverse City to sail for
at least 4-7 days and try to log 50 to 100 mi. each time.
Usually we are in a different port each night. Sailing from Traverse City
to ports of Charlevoix, Boyne City, Northport, Elk Rapids,
Suttons Bay and Beaver Island.
This year plans are to take Brock and Paulina. Ports of call Charlevoix,
Petosky, and Beaver Island, weather permitting.
Sailing is one of the greatest joys I have discovered.
I think everyones bucket list should include sailing at least once.
Leaving Charlevoix Harbor under the draw bridge.
